This crossover was spied in a South Korean car park sometime ago. The crossover is parked right next to a Hyundai Sonata sedan and is believed to be a Hyundai.
Kia has no immediate plans for a mid-sized crossover after the Soul, so it only leaves Hyundai being a suspect. My thoughts were it could be the Hyundai Portico, HED-5/i-mode or the Genus MPV. Considering its size, it seems to be longer than a Dodge Journey but too small for a Trajet replacement. The large aging MPV is due for a replacement in Europe for some time now, so who knows. Hyundai is expected to launch a 2.2 litre CRD R-diesel engine for next year.
Whatever it is, it should arrive next year or in 2010.
Despite it looking like a mid-sized MPV, it isn't a Santa Fe because the vehicle looks low to the ground. The prototype also has Mercedes AMG styled alloy-wheels.
